Uptown is a one-act, one-woman play.
Laura Salazar is a senior at McCartney Preparatory High School, a predominantly white institution on the Upper East Side.
At the end-of-year gala, a horrific massacre seemingly broke out of nowhere, leaving three of Laura's classmates dead. Struggling to cope with the fallout, Laura finds herself in an extensive conversation with Susan, a professional attempting to help Laura put the pieces together of the traumatic event.
